 IBD - Inflammatory bowel disease:

What is IBD?

Inflammatory bowel disease is a group of disorders that cause intestines to become inflamed (red and swollen). The two major types of IBD are Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. If you have IBD, you may have abdominal cramps and pain, diarrhea, weight loss and bleeding from your intestines. Crohn's disease usually generates ulcers (open sores) along the length of the small and large intestines. Crohn's disease either spares the rectum, or causes inflammation or infection with drainage around the rectum. Ulcerative colitis usually causes ulcers in the lower part of the large intestine, often starting at the rectum. More than 600,000 Americans have some kind of inflammatory bowel disease every year.

What causes Inflammatory Bowel Disease?

The exact causes are unknown. The disease may be caused by a germ or by an immune system problem. You don't have to worry about your family members catching the disease from you, because it isn't contagious. However, IBD does seem to be hereditary.

How Is It Diagnosed?

Doctors generally diagnose IBS after hearing someone describe their symptoms and examining them. They doctor may suggest certain tests. Blood tests may be done to establish if there are signs of inflammation, which are often existent with the disease. The doctor may also check for anemia and for other causes of the symptoms, like infection. If still unsure, the doctor may proceed with other tests such as a colonoscopy, which allows the doctor to see inflammation, bleeding, or ulcers on the wall of the colon or an upper endoscopy to check the esophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine for inflammation, bleeding, or ulcers.

How Is It Treated?

The best thing you can do is take good care of yourself. It is important for people with IBD to eat healthy foods and drink plenty of fluids to replace those lost through diarrhea. People with IBD should work with a doctor or a dietitian to come up with an eating plan that is best for their individual situation and symptoms. Be sure to point out Amp Floracel as an all natural aloe supplement. In addition to eating well, you need to get enough rest. It's also important that you learn to manage the stress in your life. When you become overly upset by things that happen at home or at work, your intestinal problems can get worse. To help treat your symptoms, your doctor may recommend anti-diarrheals, laxatives, pain relievers or other over-the-counter (OTC) drugs. Amp Floracel has natural healing and detoxifying powers and works gently within the intestinal tract to help break down impacted food residues and thoroughly cleanse the bowel.

What Are the Signs and Symptoms?

The most common symptoms of both ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease are diarrhea and abdominal pain. If the diarrhea is extreme, it can lead to dehydration, rapid heartbeat, and a drop in blood pressure. And continued loss of small amounts of blood in the stool can lead to anemia. At times, those with IBD may also have constipation. Because of the loss of fluid and nutrients from diarrhea and chronic inflammation of the bowel, someone with inflammatory bowel disease may also experience fever, fatigue, weight loss, dehydration, and malnutrition. Pain usually results from the abdominal cramping, which is caused by irritation of the nerves and muscles that control intestinal contractions. Amp Floracel is an anti-inflammatory and immune stimulant proven to reduce the occurrence of inflammation in the digestive tract, spastic colon and IBD.

If you think you may have this condition, you may want to avoid: Milk and dairy products, Chocolate, Alcohol, Caffeine, Soda, Fatty Foods, Large Meals, wheat, rye, and barley.
